Why Democrats aren't voicing a full-throttled attack against Ms. Cheney for her 'Al-Queda 7' ad mystifies me.

They should have been lined up for the Sunday morning shows at the very least to defend the foundations of our judicial system which is so very fundamental to what America is.

Again, the Democrats demonstrate such weak leadership as they stand by and watch as former Bush officials take the lead--which is commendable and adds credibility--but nevertheless illustrates the anemic response from the democrats and the administration. Strong stands from the Democratic leadership are sorely needed.

The Party needs to get out in front in these issues and show people why they're a better alternative to what the Republicans are offering.

Delay Doubles Down On Welfare Queen Mania

Chiming in right behind Arizona Senator Jon Kyl, disgraced former House Majority Leader, Tom Delay stated, "there is an argument to be made that these extensions, the unemployment benefits keeps people from going and finding jobs. In fact there are some studies that have been done that show people stay on unemployment compensation and they don't look for a job until two or three weeks before they know the benefits are going to run out."

Delay, a convicted felon, is the quintessential pro-corporation, anti-union ideologue. Perhaps this best illustrates his disdain for average, hard working American families who are seeking employment during the worst recession since The Great Depression.

Besides being indicted by a Grand Jury on Felony Conspiracy charges, Delay has been indicated in several ethics scandals--most notably the Abramhoff scandal--which lead to his sudden resignation as House Majority Leader.

'Hot Tub Tom' is fine with corporate welfare. Just make sure the workers don't get a dime.

The New Welfare Queen

In the worst recession since the

Great Depression, those collecting unemployment insurance while looking for work are accused of gaming the system--not fighting

for survival.

In other words, according to Senator John Kyl of Arizona, we are the new Welfare Queens.

Really now Mr. Kyl? Are you sure you want to go there?

Shamefully, Kyl claims, "...continuing to pay people unemployment compensation is a disincentive for them to seek new work."

When you consider the millions out of work, feverishly searching--and the mere fact that they've paid into the system--perhaps for years--Kyl reduces struggling Americans to people simply looking for a handout.

Wow. Let me articulate while I attempt to contain my rage.

If this smug jackass, do-nothing, party-of-no, obstruction-happy, nihilist, government-administered-insurance-beneficiary thinks that a few hundred dollars a week is a satisfactory substitute for a real salary or working wage that would dissuade millions from looking for work--maybe he should join the ranks himself.

Surely he'd give up his $174,000 per year to enjoy the life of unemployment glee.

We're talking about people trying desperately to hang on to their homes and COBRA health benefits. Yet he unapologetically states, "people are being paid even though they're not working."

It seems to me that simply saying 'no' to anything the majority legislates or our newly elected president's agenda isn't working either--in more ways than one.

So prepare for your life of ease Senator Kyl. Let's see how you and your family gets by on $450 a week.

Oh, wait. He'll have a cushy lobbyist's job waiting for him when he gets booted.
